Service Description & Architecture

Pallasite AI provides an autonomous, multi-tiered refund governance and risk defense platform built specifically for modern e-commerce and Shopify merchants. The service deploys real-time compliance scanning, deterministic rule heuristics, carrier manifest forensics, and multi-model AI consensus to identify return abuse, serial refunders, and policy exploits before store funds leave merchant accounts.

Inference operations run on a modern cloud infrastructure hosted via secure edge clusters on Render and encrypted serverless databases powered by Neon PostgreSQL. High-confidence evaluations are delivered via a 3-tier pipeline: Local Deterministic Filtering, Multi-Model AI Consensus (powered by Bring-Your-Own-Key connections to Google Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter, and Anthropic Claude), and Merchant Manual Triage Safeguards.

Merchant Accounts & Security

To access the platform, merchants must register an account and connect their authorized Shopify store. Account holders are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, multi-factor authentication factors, and secret API keys (format: pal_live_...).

You agree to immediately notify Pallasite AI at security@pallasite.online if you detect any breach of security or unauthorized access to your merchant tenant workspace.

Acceptable Use Policy

Merchants and authorized API clients must not use Pallasite AI to:

• Submit falsified, deceptive, or unlawfully acquired personal data or transaction claims;
• Attempt to probe, scan, breach, or circumvent our tenant isolation boundaries, rate limiters, or digital signature verifiers;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, extract, or scrape underlying algorithm weights, heuristics, or consensus prompt structures;
• Utilize platform webhooks for any purpose other than legitimate refund, return, and order risk governance;
• Interfere with or overburden the service infrastructure or network availability.

Open Beta Program & Zero-Markup BYOK Architecture

• 90-Day Free Open Beta Program: Core access to the Pallasite AI governance engine, Shopify integration connectors, and Command Center dashboard is provided completely free of charge for the merchant's first 90 days from account signup during the Open Beta period. No credit card is required.
• Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): To execute live AI evaluations, merchants connect their own direct Google Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter (DeepSeek/GLM), or Anthropic Claude API keys. Pallasite AI charges 0% platform markup on model inference tokens; merchants pay only their provider directly at raw wholesale token rates (typically ~$0.0001–~$0.002 per scan, or ~$1–~$20 per 10,000 scans depending on model tier and claim complexity).
• 30-Day Prior Notice for Commercial Tiers: Following the initial 90-day free beta period, standard subscription tiers apply ($29–$199/mo). In addition, Pallasite AI guarantees a minimum of 30 days prior written email notice to all registered account administrators before any paid platform tier, transaction quota, or commercial billing plan takes effect.

AI Decision Disclaimer & Human Autonomy

Pallasite AI generates risk scores, confidence intervals, policy match signals, and advisory recommendations. Merchants retain exclusive and sovereign authority over all customer refund approvals, denials, and payouts. Pallasite AI is an autonomous decision-support system, not a financial fiduciary or legal arbitrator.

Performance Latency: Core deterministic policy evaluations resolve in milliseconds at our edge gateway. Multi-model AI consensus evaluations operate asynchronously and typically complete in 200ms to 450ms depending on third-party AI provider network availability.

Data Sovereignty & Encryption Standards

All data processing adheres strictly to our Privacy Policy. Merchant BYOK API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with per-tenant encryption keys. Key values are decrypted exclusively inside ephemeral memory during active scan execution and are never logged or stored in persistent disk caches.

Pallasite AI maintains an absolute Zero Model-Training Commitment: we never harvest, sell, aggregate, or train foundation AI models on merchant order histories or customer claims.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pallasite AI is provided strictly on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Under no circumstances shall Pallasite AI Technologies Inc., its directors, employees, partners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data loss, customer disputes, or chargeback fees arising out of the use of or inability to use the service.

In no event shall Pallasite AI's aggregate liability exceed the total amounts paid by you to Pallasite AI during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100.00 USD, whichever is greater.

Termination & Data Portability

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with 30 days written notice, or immediately by disconnecting your Shopify store and deleting your account from the Settings portal.

Upon account closure, merchants may initiate a comprehensive CSV/JSON data export of all audit logs and scan histories. Within 48 hours of Shopify app uninstallation (or 30 days after manual tenant closure), all store data, webhook endpoints, and BYOK credentials are cryptographically scrubbed and permanently purged from active production databases.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the State of Delaware.
